Welcome back to Spring 2016!

The storm of the first week of class...

The weather outside is frightful, but EKU and the Department of Government are officially back for the Spring 2016 semester.  As the recent snowfall reminds everyone, spring in Kentucky can involve a lot of inclement weather, so if you aren’t up on the severe weather procedures, you can familiarize yourself by looking over the Weather Information website, and by following the EKU homepage and President Benson’s twitter feed.

First, we’d like to congratulate our Fall 2015 graduates.  Across all three of the Department’s programs, we graduated 33 students.  Congratulations and best of luck to your future endeavors.

Second, welcome back to EKU.  We have a lot planned for the Spring Semester.  Wednesday, January 20, saw Colonel Craze, and the first week of March we will be celebrating First Amendment Week.  Keep an eye on the EKU Today, our facebook page, and the EKU Website for further information during the semester.  Good luck to our students, faculty, and staff for the coming semester.
